SNAG X QM
In Focus 2026
Virtual Exhibition
Queer Metalsmiths is excited to collaborate with SNAG (Society of North American Goldsmiths) on the 2026 In Focus exhibition - a curated digital showcase dedicated to spotlighting BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ artists from underappreciated communities who are redefining the future of jewelry and metalsmithing.
In Focus 2026 will be featured as a digital showcase during the 2026 SNAG x Detroit conference with a selection of works displayed in person. The exhibition will live in a permanent virtual gallery on both the Queer Metalsmiths and SNAG websites.
We welcome submissions from artists across the globe in all materials, aesthetics, levels of experience, and backgrounds. We are seeking work that explores the labor of identity, BIPOC and queer inheritance, and future-building. In Focus is being curated by Queer Metalsmiths’ co-founder Tracey Carswell along with guest jurors Meesh Flowers and Rodrigo Ormachea.
Join QM x SNAG for a breakout session during the conference on June 12th that provides space for attendees to connect, discuss, and learn about the diversity of our community.
The In Focus Call is open to submissions from February 17th through April 13th. Join our jurors for an information session on April 2nd at 7:30pm EST on Zoom (link to register here).
